Silk is an amazing fabric, one that I have always loved working with, especially with paints and dyes. Growing up on Carpenter's Lake, I found inspiration daily that is embedded deep in my memory. I watched colors reflecting from the sky, flow across the water creating beauty and emotion. I find that same feeling when my brush touches silk. The colors flow through the fibers, mingling with other colors creating new and wonderful hues. The abstract nature I adore most allows the imagination to float to a place of peace. Silk, being a natural fiber, but a strong filament, holds the paint in unique ways but leaving a soft, smooth, gentle touch. I encourage you to explore the designs I have created and experience a whole new inspiration.

Marsch Inspiration

I think to be inspired comes from within... a past connection comes to life. For me I go back to a familiar Mimosa tree of long ago, looking over the lake and I see colors develop. From this point I begin my designs. Stay in touch.....
